Moulds taken directly from delicate/valuable
objects
This particular example was made for a stonecarving company.
They had modelled a full size bust in clay and we were commissioned
to produce moulds and a cast in plaster.
The plaster cast was the used to scale up, to carve a bust in
limestone.
What you can see is a silicone rubber skin being peeled of
the delicate clay original.

Cases made in fibreglass with engineered
rubber liners
This mould was taken off a 19th century terracotta urn.
Our customer reproduces them in cast stone.
The mould has a relatively hard rubber liner to cope with the
cast stone being hand rammed against the surface.

Moulds made in fibreglass
These baluster moulds are for a company that produce castings
in cast stone.
The moulds are made of fibreglass.

Silicone Rubber Moulds without cases
These are moulds for producing plaster ceiling roses. They were
commissioned by one of our larger customers who produces thousands
of casts per year.
The moulds are made of silicone rubber.
We currently supply at least three very large plaster ornament
factories in the British Isles & South Africa.
We supply moulds for coving, cove corners, ceiling roses, wall
uplighters, niches, panel mouldings, plus many development projects.

 Moulds taken on site
of delicate/complex/large items
This particular project was completed for a customer on site
in a barn!
The original was badly eroded stone and dated from the
late 18th century. It required extensive remodelling prior to
being made.
The finished moulding was made by painting silicone rubber directly
over the clay and stone.
The case was made in fibreglass.
The complete mould was taken back to our workshops and a new
cast was made for the customer in fibreglass and antiqued to match
the original at an English stately home.

Mould
of Full Size Deer
The original of this deer is shown next to the mould in its steel
frame. The deer was modeled in clay and plastaline. We made a
highly complex mould using a multi piece fibreglass case with
a polyurathane rubber liner.
The mould sits in a steel frame which is used to support the
weight of the concrete that it is cast in. The frame also is used
to support the mould when turning over to demould the cast.
The deer weighs around 1000kg.

Patterns and Moulds
of Urns
The patterns & moulds were created from drawings. Our customer
produces casts of urns and architectural ornament in dry packed
cast stone.
The patterns were made of foam, wood, plaster etc. The moulds
were made of a hard polyurathane rubber with fibreglass cases.

On larger moulds we build steel frames with castors so you can
move them around your workshop.
We ensure customer confidentially and are happy to sign contracts
to ensure this.
We use two types of rubber - Silicone and Polyurethane.
